What is NoiseAware and how does it work?
NoiseAware is the first and only 100% privacy-safe noise monitoring solution built for your entire property - inside and outside.
NoiseAware works like a smoke detector, but for noise. Our simple plug and play sensors track the decibel levels at your property, evaluate other risk factors and send an alert via text or email if the noise levels exceed your chosen threshold level.
What do I do if I receive an alert?
Alerts are accompanied with a link to the property's Noise Risk Score graph. The graph takes noise and turns it into data so you can evaluate the property's risk in real time. You can then decide to message or call your guests.
80% of the time, guests quiet down within 15 minutes of being contacted!
Can I use NoiseAware at multiple properties at once?
Absolutely! NoiseAware was built for property portfolios of all sizes. Our dashboard allows you to view and infinite number of properties at once, while our mobile app allows you to check in on properties while on the go.
What is the Noise Risk Score?
There's more to sound than just decibels! It's why our team aimed to develop something that was more advanced at measuring noise within a particular environment. In our case, that environment has been homes - from large vacation homes to urban multifamily units, we realized that decibels were simply not enough.
So it was born, our proprietary algorithm, the Noise Risk Score (or NRS). Coupling NRS with our noise detection technology makes understanding noise in different environments much easier.
Our Noise Risk Score goes beyond the sporadic and instantaneous measurement of a decibel, to bring you context and deeper insight. We track not only how loud it is, but how long it is loud for. We combine this with a number of other factors to bring you the contextual noise risk score. Nobody wants a text every time your guest sneezes.
What we do want to know is what's happening at the property, so that you can be made more aware and take action. Noise Risk Score is sophisticated in tracking as many variables as possible; in other words, our sensors are more accurate than reading decibels alone. Awesome, right?!
Can multiple people receive the alerts?
Yes. Just like you can have multiple properties, you can have an infinite number of people receive alerts via email and/or text.
Is an Indoor Sensor Required?
Yes. Our Indoor Sensors are what transmit data to your dashboard.
What is the range of a sensor?
Each sensor has a range of about 400 square feet to monitor each of your property's Activity Zones.
How many sensors do I need?
Every property is different. We recommend having a sensor in each of your property's Activity Zones - places people tend to congregate.
For condos, we typically recommend 1 Indoor Sensor.
For homes, we typically recommend 1 Indoor Sensor and 1 Outdoor Sensor.
For larger homes and estates, we typically recommend 2+ Indoor Sensors and 2+ Outdoor sensors.
